Asked to write this tribute,
emotions & thoughts were vast,
a tribute to say thank you,
for the future, present and past.
Thank you for my verbal flow
and the lil things I needed to know,
like learning from mistakes,
will really help me grow.
For mostly having my back
and rarely cutting me slack,
regardless of opinions,
it’s all about the facts.
For teaching me to check myself
and double check my math,
check my words and my tone,
my sentences and paragraphs.
For helping me understand
regardless of where one lives
true blessing rarely come
until one truly gives.
